A Note from Louisa
Founder & CEO, Rowan

As a mom, there are few things more personal than deciding where and how to get your child’s ears pierced. When it was time for my daughter, I did what most parents do — I researched every option I could find. But nothing felt quite right. Piercing parlors didn’t feel safe enough. Pediatrician’s offices didn’t feel special enough. And the more I looked into the ear piercing industry as a whole, the more I realized how overlooked and outdated it really was — especially for something so meaningful.

So I decided to change that. With a background in finance and a passion for building things that matter, I set out to reimagine ear piercing as both safe and celebratory. A place where medical standards meet joyful moments. Where nurses do the piercing, and where every experience, whether it’s a first piercing or a fifth, feels clean, comfortable, and confidence-boosting.

That’s how Rowan was born. We’re not just about earrings — we’re about empowering people to express themselves, safely and beautifully, every step of the way.

Thanks for being part of this journey.

Nancy Fazzinga, MD, FAAP

Dr. Nancy Fazzinga was born and raised outside of Philadelphia. She went to Lafayette College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning a B.S. in Biology.  After trying a career in the business world for two years in NYC she decided to pursue her true calling of Medicine and headed back to Philadelphia to attend medical school.

She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 2007. She then went on to complete her residency at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. Since then she has stayed very involved at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and is a current member of the foundation board.

Dr. Fazzinga started working in private practice in Greenwich in 2011 and has recently been working at a local health clinic before deciding to create her own practice. Frustrated with the growing impersonalization of healthcare, she has set out to create something different. She is excited to be starting a new practice where she can work closely with her patients alongside parents to ensure that every child is receiving the best health care possible.

Dr. Fazzinga is an active member in the Greenwich community.  She loves to speak at schools and talk about all topics relating to kids health! When she is not working, she can be found running around town with her husband Frank and three girls— Grace (13), Frances (8), and Eleanor (4) — or walking around with her two dogs, Maya and Pippa!

Dr. Fazzinga is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

“Rowan is the only ear piercing company that I, as a plastic surgeon (specializing in ear reconstruction), and someone who works with craniofacial conditions would endorse and recommend, as they use the safest practices, highest quality materials and have licensed nurses perform all of their piercings.”
