California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010
Rowan, Inc. (“Rowan”) is committed to the eradication of slavery and human trafficking and expects its suppliers and manufacturers to share this commitment to ethical and responsible conduct and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the countries in which they operate.
Rowan requires its significant suppliers to sign a binding vendor agreement verifying they will comply with all local and international labor laws, including those relating to safe and healthy working conditions and prohibiting child labor and forced labor in any form. Suppliers may also be asked to provide supporting documentation or certifications upon request.
Rowan does not currently conduct independent third-party audits of suppliers specific to slavery and human trafficking and instead relies on supplier representations to support compliance with applicable laws and company expectations.
Employees and management with direct responsibility for supply chain management and purchasing decisions receive training related to legal compliance and ethical sourcing.
