Piercing Aftercare

Always wash your hands
Limit touching your ears to only when you are cleaning. Wash your hands before
touching your earrings.
Spray your piercing
Leave space
There should be space between your ear and the front and back of the jewelry. If there’s none, return to the studio for an evaluation.
Disinfect
Clean anything that goes in, on, or around your ears (i.e., earbuds, headphones, cell phones, and glasses).
Rinse and repeat
Rinse your piercing in the shower when using hair products.
Hypoallergenic earrings only
Wear consistently for one year to prevent your piercing from closing. Shop hypoallergenic earrings.
Check-in
Check-in with our nurses and they'll let you know if your post can be downsized.

A list of things to avoid
No touching, twisting, or rotating cartilage piercings.
No sleeping on your new piercing without a Piercing Pillow.
No rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean your piercing.
No soaps, creams, or ointments to be used on your healing piercing.
No earrings containing nickel. Premium hypoallergenic earrings only!
No heavy earrings.
