• What makes ear piercing with Rowan safe?

  We put safety first, with ear piercings performed exclusively by a licensed nurse and hypoallergenic earrings made from premium, nickel-free materials. Rowan nurses have extensive experience in creating a stress-free environment, are experts in the use of PPE and maintaining sterility, and always put their clients first. Rowan nurses offer piercings using a gentle, hand-pressured device with pre-sterilized 14k gold or medical-grade stainless steel earrings to pierce. We also offer piercings performed with a hollow needle.
  
  Both the hand-pressured device and the hollow needle are safe and accurate when in the hands of a trained professional. Our piercing jewelry has safety backs and long posts to ensure sufficient airflow and optimal healing. We never use piercings guns, which are spring loaded and can damage the ear tissue.

• What types of piercings are offered?

  Rowan is all ears! We only pierce and change jewelry for the outer ear, including lobe, helix, mid helix, forward helix, flat, conch, and tragus piercings. (Placement availability may vary by studio location.)
  
  We do not offer daith, industrial, or nose piercings at this time.

• What do you pierce with?

  Rowan nurses use a gentle, hand-pressured device with pre-sterilized 14k gold or medical-grade stainless steel earrings to pierce. Piercing earrings have safety backs and long posts to ensure sufficient airflow and optimal healing. Our hand-pressured devices can be used to pierce the lobe and along the outer perimeter of the ear.
  
  We also offer piercings performed with a hollow needle. Hollow needles can be used to pierce all areas of the ear.
  
  Both the hand-pressured device and the hollow needle are safe and accurate when in the hands of a trained professional. We never use piercings guns, which are spring loaded and can damage the ear tissue.

• Do you pierce babies?

  Rowan offers ear piercing services for all ages, starting as young as 2 months old. We are pediatrician-recommended for many reasons! Our earrings are crafted from quality, hypoallergenic and nickel-free materials and have been designed with all ages in mind, from the young to the young at heart.
  
  We require one DTaP vaccine for children ages 5 and under. For minors under 18, a parent or legal guardian is required to be present for the piercing. • What should I do to prepare before going into my appointment?

  It’s easy. Just book an appointment, fill out the waiver, and check out our blog "How to Prepare for Getting Your Ears Pierced" for all the tips and tricks.
  
  You will be able to choose your piercings studs and placement during your appointment. Our nurses are experts and will help you every step of the way.
