What is a genuine diamond?

A genuine diamond - also known as a natural diamond or a mined diamond - is a naturally occurring precious gemstone formed deep within the Earth. It is a pure carbon crystal formed under extreme pressure and heat over millions of years. What is a lab grown diamond?

A lab grown diamond - also known as a man-made diamond or synthetic diamond - is a real diamond created in a controlled laboratory environment using advanced scientific technologies to replicate the natural diamond-growing conditions. Lab grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to genuine diamonds. Because they are created above ground, they are generally more affordable and more sustainable. This means that for the same price as a natural diamond, a lab-grown diamond will typically be larger or of a higher clarity and color quality.
