Why, When, and How To Place Endless Hoop Earrings
At Rowan, we love our Endless Hoops! Here’s everything you need to know about styling your stack with Endless Hoops.
Why Can’t I Get Pierced with an Endless Hoop?
At Rowan, safety is our number one priority. We’ll be the first to tell you that when you get a needle piercing, you shouldn’t touch, twist, or rotate your earring - but, due to their seamless design, that’s exactly what endless hoops do!
We always put your safety and ear health first, so trust us - it will be worth the wait! We’re proud that at Rowan, we have an adverse outcome rate of less than 1% (compared to the industry average of 30%!).
Let the tissue heal without added irritation to the site and your ear (and your piercer!) will thank you.
When Can I Switch Into an Endless Hoop?
If you are no longer feeling any tenderness after 6 months, you may be able to change into an endless hoop. If your piercing begins feeling tender or sore after switching into a hoop, listen to your body and switch back into a stud for a little bit longer. Remember that everyone heals differently, and that’s normal!
Why Should I Switch Into an Endless Hoop?
Like everything else Rowan, our endless hoops are hypoallergenic. They are also less likely to snag while sleeping or being active. Our endless hoops are quite durable, so they can withstand daily wear. Plus, they’re comfortable for 24/7 wear!
How Do I Switch Into a Hoop?
Before you switch into hoops, it’s important to clean your jewelry and your piercing! Not only is it important to disinfect your jewelry prior to changing your piercing jewelry, but it's just as important that you clean your ears prior as well. Disinfect jewelry with alcohol, if possible, and let the alcohol dry. Then, clean your ears as well. Our Advanced Aftercare Solution is the ideal product to use for this, as it is a hypochlorous solution with antimicrobial properties.
Focus on one piercing at a time, and be prepared to move quickly. New piercings can start to close within minutes of removing the jewelry. Starting with one piercing, remove the earring, spritz the area with aftercare, then insert the new earring. Repeat this process on any subsequent piercings.
